The Alton Collins Center is dedicated to offer a safe, quality environment for growth and reflection for service in the world.  The center is nestled in a Pacific northwestern forest surrounded by majestic, moss covered cedar, spruce, fir, hemlock and wide leaf maple.  The natural environment supports ferns, trillium, and salmon berries covering the forest floorl. This setting combined with the comfort and convenience of a commercial facility in a metropolitan area creates the perfect environment for individual and personal growth, study, and reflection.

Accommodations
Overnight accommodations include 23 motel style rooms.  Each room has with two beds, private baths and private balconies.  Rooms are ready for occupancy upon your arrival.  Linens and towels are provided.

Accessibility
The Center facility has two Handicap accessible overnight rooms.  We have level and gradually sloping walkways and an elevator making all three floors accessible.  A paved hiking trail is paved for improved accessibility to outdoor spaces.

Food Service
Our organic garden, numerous blueberry bushes, and home made breads are all part of our overall philosophy for serving wholesome, delicious foods.  We honor special dietary needs that are within our capacity including most vegetarian, gluten free, and allergy restricted diets. Our dining facility comfortably seats up to 150 guests.

Meeting Space
Flexible seating in our conference rooms provides a comfortable environment conducive to meeting the goals of your event.  Our conference and retreat packages include meeting space, meals, in-house audio-visual equipment, overnight rooms, facility use, and administrative support.  Day rate packages and Overnight packages are priced separately for your convenience. 

Technology
The Center facility is equipped with wireless technology.  A public access computer is located in the library.  Our business center offers copy and fax capabilities for a minimal charge.  There is a telephone available in the lobby.  While we offer these business services, we do value and maintain a retreat environment.  There are no televisions or telephones in overnight rooms.

Recreation
Three miles of hiking trails wind their way through the magnificent forested property around the Center.  More formal recreation opportunities include volleyball, ping pong, and table games. Area attractions include Mt. Hood, the Clackamas River, The Columbia River Gorge, and downtown Portland; all within an hour's drive of the Center.
